The ideal candidate will:
Have excellent customer service skills Have excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant demeanor Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Be quick and efficient at payment processing and cash handling Be quick and efficient with 10-key, and alpha/numeric data entry Have the ability to handle a multi-line phone system Be able to work effectively as part of a team Have the ability to remain composed when handling difficult customers A bilingual candidate (English/Spanish) would be a plus Responsibilities and Duties would include:
Assisting taxpayers/public, in-person or on the phone with payments, account questions, questions regarding the District or being able to direct them to the appropriate person/department to assist them Receipting and balancing check and cash payments received at counter or by mail Ability to communicate effectively with public and co-workers Manage and execute tax deed process for delinquent assessments Write and send correspondence Print assessments for title company requests Process exclusions to opt out of water rights Processing liens and lien releases for county recording Other duties as assigned This position offers an excellent compensation package, including PERSI retirement plan, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, and employer-paid health insurance.
